DevCliches Happy Hour - January 23rd

OpenGov Hub - Wall of Cliches

When? Wednesday, January 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm

Where? The OpenGov Hub - 1889 F Street NW, 2nd Floor

How? Register today!

Have you seen the grassroots #DevCliches working group that self-organized on Twitter last Friday inspired by the OpenGov Hub Wall of Cliches? The OpenGov Hub seeks to scale this emergent community of practice to facilitate transformative innovation through an inclusive sensitization training.

On Wednesday, January 23, we will collaborate with international development stakeholders and utilize indigenous libations to create a safe space where honest dialogue breaks through established norms and liberates innovation from existing power structures.

If any of that made sense, then you're ready to enter the #DevCliches Contest. You'll have up to 5 minutes to speak in #DevCliches to compete for cool prizes. Be creative - you can:

Remeber: Prizes for those who present!

If you need inspiration, check out the #DevCliches chatter on Twitter, Bill Easterly's DevCliches Decoder, the Global Health Buzzphrase Generator, and the UN Gobbledygook Creator.

Audience participation is not just encouraged - it's required! We will have #DevCliches Bingo to see who can follow along the best.

And to make sure #DevCliches empowers sustainable community-based dialogue, please BYOB (here are some nearby options) or support the cause.

Thanks and see you on Wednesday!
The OpenGov Hub Team
