We're Moving! And Expanding!

It’s official. The OpenGov Hub turned out to be a really good thing – and so we’re now heading for Phase 2. On April 1st, 2014, we will be moving from our current location in the OAS building on F Street to 1110 Vermont Avenue, just north of McPherson Square.

Based on our first year, it has become clear that: (A) we love the OpenGov Hub and want to stick with it; (B) we could really use a bigger space for all the events we run; and, (C) we would love to bring in a few more friends and family from the open government world but can’t since we’ve run out of space at our current location.

The most exciting part is that we are building our new space from scratch since it’s currently down to concrete. The new space will allow for a very cool collaboration space - with over 20 meeting rooms, an entire 2,000 square foot dedicated events space, a large café, lots of hangout space – and an even larger number of desks (we will be increasing our current 80 desks to 130 desks).

We’ve been in touch with a number of groups interested in joining, in addition to our own internal expansion, but would be happy to hear from any other open government related groups that would be interested in being part of the OpenGov Hub on April 1st. If interested, please email us at info@opengovhub.org and let’s talk!
