All stakeholders, including government and civil society representatives, are invited to attend the official kick-off of the independent review of the United States’ Second Open Government Partnership National Action Plan. The independent review process is overseen by the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) section of the Open Government Partnership. The IRM is the independent process for measuring the achievements of the National Action Plan and is tasked with evaluating every aspect of the Plan’s implementation. It will draw upon official reports and stakeholder feedback from all sectors involved. The final assessment of the U.S. Second National Action plan will be published in July 2015.
Dr. Suzanne Piotrowski, Associate Professor in the School of Public Affairs and Administration, Rutgers University-Newark, is leading the U.S. review. During the event, Prof. Piotrowski will brief stakeholders on the timetable and process for the IRM evaluation. Attendees will have the chance to introduce themselves to the IRM researcher and explain what role they can play in the evaluation.
