Announcing the OpenGov Hub

Welcome to the (very) Beta website of the new OpenGov Hub! The OpenGov Hub, to be launched officially in September 2012, is an attempt to physically collocate historically distinct but like-minded communities of practice under a single shared physical workspace in downtown Washington, DC. The OpenGov Hub aspires to be the day-to-day home to a range of people and organizations working on the open government agenda while also serving as a community gathering point for open government learning and networking activities in the Washington area. Global Integrity and Development Gateway, the founding members, are currently working on tearing down doors and creating a bright, “open bullpen” office environment for the future Hub, which will be housed in Development Gateway’s current offices at 1889 F St, NW (check out some pics of a recent furniture shopping expedition). We envision another half dozen groups joining by the time of the opening. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us.

Stay tuned to the blog for updates—for now, here’s a bit more about us.
