Prosperity & Participation through Land Rights: Land Alliance BBL

The Land Alliance is a new non-profit, and new member of the OpenGov Hub, whose mission is accelerate and scale solutions to the world’s land and property rights problems. This Brown Bag Lunch (BBL) discussion will introduce Land Alliance's work to the OpenGov Hub community, and focus on the challenges and opportunities for building a global movement for secure and inclusive property rights. This will include presentation of Land Alliance’s pilot project to construct a global index of citizens’ perceptions of their property rights. 

Malcolm Childress, who will present, is the co-Executive Director and co-founder of Land Alliance. He is a multi-disciplinary land resources specialist with 25 years of global experience as senior land policy specialist for the World Bank’s Latin American and Europe/Central Asia regions, and as a research scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Land Tenure Center.
