Meet our Partner Networks

500+ independent coworking operators participate in the Global Coworking Visa program.

Since we were founded nearly 10 years ago, Open Gov Hub has always operated under a fundamental assumption: that we can achieve far more when we work together than any of us can alone.

We’ve been proud to work with some amazing partners over the years to help extend resources and learning to members and friends of OGH. And especially as coworking and innovation hubs continue to grow around the world, we are excited to announce a few of our new (and existing) partner networks!

1) A Free Passport to Coworking Spaces Globally:

The Global Coworking Visa

The Coworking Visa Program is the oldest and largest network of independent coworking operators around the world, run by the earliest leaders in the 15+ year old coworking movement. Our new participation in this program means that all OGH members can now easily visit 500+ fellow independent coworking spaces in over 70+ countries worldwide (getting up to 3 days for free). Given more remote and nomadic work, the OGH team is excited to introduce this new member benefit, and explore open source resources available on coworking.com, run by a team rooted in the founding coworking values of sharing and collaborating.

2) STAYING AHEAD OF COWORKING TRENDS:

“GCUC: THE GLOBAL COWORKING UNCONFERENCE” NETWORK

Last Fall, OGH also became a member of the Global Coworking UnConference network (“GCUC” or “juicy” for short). GCUC is now celebrating its 10 year anniversary as the global convener of key events that bring together independent coworking operators and partners to get ahead of industry trends, learn new tools, and explore working together with fellow operators and other support professionals for coworking and flex work.

OGH attended our first GCUC convening in NYC in Fall 2021 - it was a welcomed breath of fresh air to convene in person once more and talk about the growing future of flex work post-pandemic. We look forward to continuing our membership to attend future convenings and make use of online resources and learning as this industry continues to evolve.

3) LEARNING WITH FELLOW NONPROFIT CENTERS:

NONPROFIT CENTERS NETWORK (NCN)

Since 2014, OGH has also been a proud member of the Nonprofit Centers Network (housed within the Tides Center). NCN helps improve the capacity of 150+ fellow nonprofit resource centers across the US and Canada (see MAP here). Although member centers vary in their geography and sometimes in their focus (some are for grassroots nonprofits or serve as human service centers, while others have a thematic/sector focus like OGH), we always learn a lot from each other as mission-driven networks. OGH’s Director Nada Zohdy has presented at many annual NCN conferences, and we look forward to leading and learning within this network.

4) COACHING AND CONNECTING CIVIC INNOVATION HUBS:

OPEN GOV HUB’S GLOBAL AFFILIATE HUBS (GAH) PROGRAM

Last but certainly not least, OGH is proud to facilitate a truly unique network of affiliate civic innovation hubs - currently 13 hubs across 5 continents. Our GAH Program is focused on connecting our affiliate hubs who all have a shared mission, to enhance our financial and staff sustainability and implement cross-country collaborations that help address democracy and governance challenges.

We truly believe that the best way to change the world is to do it together. If you’d like to learn more about these partnerships, or are a network that is interested in partnering with us, get in touch at info@opengovhub.org!
